Magazines

I love reading Mags, the contents are real informative and besides that, the cover girls a real looker. For me mags are better than some books, why? because a book is dull and boring and lacks the beautiful front covers the mags has..ahehe.. my favorite mags are the following:

FHM-the first mag i ever bought in my life, i think I was in 2nd year HS when I first saw an FHM plus the cover girl was Angel Locsin, that issue is the first time Angel pose for a Mens Magazine, who can say not to a mag that featured her..right?

T3 Mag-my source of news, updates, etc about techie stuff. Plus its like FHM but better because it contains more information and review about the latest gadgets..

GADGETS Magazine-as the name implies, my another source of info about the world of gadgets

UNO-I dont love this mag as much that i love FHM or any of the other mags that I have, but its a great alternate if FHM features a not-so-good cover girl.

Hope one of the editor of this magazines reads this. THE FIRST ONE TO FEATURE BANGS GARCIA WILL BE THE BEST MAG, WELL ATLIST FOR ME..hehehe

Woman sat dead in front of TV for 42 years

THE remains of a woman have been found sitting in front of her TV - 42 years after she was reported missing. Hedviga Golik, who was born in 1924, had apparently made herself a cup of tea before sitting in her favourite armchair in front of her black and white television. Croatian police said she was last seen by neighbours in 1966,when she would have been 42 years old. Her neighbours thought she had moved out of her flat in the capital, Zagreb.

But she was found by police and bailiffs who had broken in to help the authorities establish who owned the flat.

A police spokesman said: "So far, we have no idea how it is possible that someone officially reported missing so long ago was not found before in the same apartment she used to live in.

"When officers went there, they said it was like stepping into a place frozen in time.

"The cup she had been drinking tea from was still on a table next to the chair she had been sitting in and the house was full of things no one had seen for decades. Nothing had been disturbed for decades, even though there were more than a few cobwebs in there."

Moral of the story, when you are looking for someone, look first where he/she lives at! Sheeesh!

Sont Ericsson K660i(cheap 3.5G Phone)

The full Sony Ericsson K660i Review

With the news that Sony Ericsson’s new C702 and C902 handsets are to become the new Cyber-shot range, we discover that the ever-popular K-series will now cater for Sony Ericsson’s mid-range market. First to enter the new K-fray is the K660i, a stylish handset with a host of features.

The handset is available in three colours – the generic wine-on-black, 3’s exclusive lime-on-white and T-mobile’s blue-on-black. Our review handset happened to be the wine-on-black and very fetching it was. The ‘wine’ refers to the coloured strip that highlights the main control bar above the keypad. The contrasts in colours work really well, although we did find the buttons to be a touch on the fiddly side, particularly the numeric keys. Loyal Sony Ericsson fans may scourge the lack of back button that has become such a mainstay on recent handsets, but the right soft key usually gives you that option, and a quick press of the call end button will return you to the idle screen.

Sony Ericsson K660i - Web-savvy

The manufacturer tells us that the handset will appeal to a younger generation obsessed with social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. And to cater for these web-savvy consumers, Sony Ericsson has included a number of key features. The web can be surfed either in portrait or landscape, to gain the best experience, landscape is preferential.

When surfing the net the more observant of you may notice that keys 3, 6, 9 and # become illuminated. This is to indicate that they also double up as internet shortcut keys. A quick press of the ‘3’ button will allow you to input text for a Google search, while ‘6’ will bookmark any websites you may frequent. If at anytime during your surf you were wanting to return to the homepage, simply hit the ‘9’ key, and the ‘#’ key lets you pan and zoom web content, which proved particularly useful when we were wanting a closer inspection of a photo or pic. It’s worth noting, however, that in order to utilise the pan and zoom function, you will need to be in ‘smart fit’ mode.

Sony Ericsson K660i - Keep to the point

As a means of providing a PC-like experience on your mobile, the K660i has introduced a mouse pointer, which is controlled via the navigation pad. The pointer can be moved anywhere on the screen, making it easier and faster to click on hyperlinks. Although the experience is not flawless – the pointer jumps rather than glides – it’s still a joy and we anticipate it becoming a regular fixture in future handsets.

The handset also boasts mobile broadband (HSDPA) speeds; a ‘H’ will appear in the top left-hand corner when the handset has a HSDPA connection, and a ‘3G’ wil display when you are browsing on 3G speeds. It’s a simple yet effective touch that keeps the user informed as to why their web experience may appear slower than earlier in the day.

RSS feeds or ‘news tickers’ can be programmed so you receive an alert direct to your screen when selected websites have a new news story. A list of selected web feeds is provided on the homepage. Somewhat interestingly, out of those suggested, including BBC and Google News, only the Sony Ericsson Fun & Games feed, the Sony Ericsson press releases feed and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) feed worked. The WTA is, incidentally, sponsored by Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson K660i - Google Maps

Although there’s no built-in GPS, navigation enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that the K660i does come with Google Maps. Your position is located by pinpointing the three nearest cells to you, before providing a guestimate to your exact position within 1,700m. On testing the application we found the results to be far more accurate, usually placing us two or three streets away from our actual location. The service also provides traffic updates as well as a host of points of interest.

The K660i is fitted with Sony Ericsson’s download service PlayNow and TrackID that both take advantage of the handset’s ultra-quick internet speeds. There’s been some talk about revamping PlayNow in the light of other service providers such as Nokia’s Music Store and Vodafone’s MusicStation and, without intending to be too harsh on Sony Ericsson, it certainly needs one. The choice of music, ringtones and games are minimal and, at £3 per track or ringtone, PlayNow is unlikely to generate much business. TrackID is a far superior service, which records a few seconds of a song from your built-in radio or an external music source, before using the internet to identify the name of the artist, track and album. It works a treat even for the most obscure songs.

Sony Ericsson K660i - Headphones

There’s no 3.5mm jack port found on the device, so you will have to rely on the provided headphones. This can prove to be a frustrating experience as the leads are absurdly long and can easily get tangled up. However, Sony Ericsson has opted to place the port in the bottom of the handset as opposed to the side – something we have been championing the manufacturer to do for months – which proves to be far more convenient when the handset is in your pocket. The K660i also supports Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) if the wires do prove to be too much of a hindrance.

With a two-megapixel camera, the K660i’s camera abilities are fairly modest. As with the internet, it is also designed to be used horizontally. Although there are a number of shortcut routes through the numeric pad, these are not highlighted as they are with the internet. For this reason, it’s more likely that you will simply revert to changing the white balance or shoot mode through the menu screen rather than trying to identify the correct shortcut key. The lack of flash may cause some snappers to rethink purchasing the K660i.

Sony Ericsson K660i - The verdict

The Sony Ericsson K660i is a devilishly stylish handset that will appeal to the web generation who want a PC-like internet access without having to resort to a more bulky smartphone. Cynics may point to the lack of Wi-Fi as a fundamental oversight for an internet phone, but the mouse-style pointer and shortcut keys are great additions. Sony Ericsson has ensured that though the Cyber-shot range may have moved house, the K-series range looks to continue to produce capable handsets.

Want to sell something?Do it Online!

Based on my experience, selling your "stuff" online is one of the quickest way to earn money. All of my current gadgets are bought because of the "income" i received from selling online. Some friends that I know post their "stuff" in social network websites like Friendster or Multiply, but theres a better way to advertise your stuff..go to a shopping website! From there, you can post your item, and the whole world can see it.. but you may ask, we live here in the Philippines, how in the world can i deliver/receive the item(s) i just bought/sold? Well thats easy, go to a LOCAL shopping website so receiving and delivering the items' a breeze and easier.. heres some of the shopping sites i joined..

www.Tipidpc.com-the very first online shopping site here in the Philippines, even though the name has the word "PC" in it, members sell more the Pc parts, just check it out.(this is the website where I sold my old Gameboy Advance Sp)

www.Tipidcp.com-the brother site of Tipidpc, it sells everything you need for your mobile needs. This is the website where i sold my Nokia 7610

www.sulit.com.ph-it is similar to tipidpc/cp but has a wider range of items that can be sell.

www.eBay.ph-the local version of ebay.

Usually, buying things online are cheaper but make sure the person your gonna buy to is trustworthy and is not a scammer.

tips:
1.before buying from a certain someone online, check his/her rating. If he/she has a good rating, buy from him but if the rating is negative, avoid doing business.

2.If you are the seller, make sure to be on time on the agreed meeting place to improve your rating in the website so more customer will buy from you..

3.If your anti-social, dont start selling online.

4.When selling something, make sure its not broken. It is good to give personal warranty(1-2 days personal warranty is good enough) to receive the buyers trust.

5.Likewise, when your the buyer, check first the item if its broken or been tampered with before giving the money. You may back-out if you see anything wrong with the item

well thats the only tips that I can give to you, enjoy earning your money and see you there. Hope to do business with you guys!!!

Sony Ericsson W610i

Im still having fun with my SE K550i(see review below) but its not too early to plan what cell will be replacing it in the near future, ahehehe.Maybe after a year or so, Im going to sell my current unit to replace it with a SE W610i.Why wait a year if I could have bought this in the first place instead of my K550i? Because I'm the type of buyer that NEVER buy a cell at its introductory price because mainly its pricey. So I have a habit of letting the price depreciate before buying it. But dont get me wrong, i L-O-V-E my k550i, but Im a techie person, i want to have as many gadgets as possible.

Sony Ericson W610i Walkman Phone

Sony Ericsson W610 Walkman Phone is a 14 mm thin quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) candybar with Edge data connectivity, 7 hrs of talk, 25 hours of music and 350 hrs of standby time.It is also a Walkman with all the perks usual for this handset class - Disc 2 Phone and other specialized software with navigation controls to manage your music collection, A2DP Bluetooth Audio Streaming, full HTML browser, RSS, Push e-mail, JAVA MIDP 2.0 support. SE W610 Wlakman can read most of the popular music and video files on a 1.9″ 262K TFT display and comes with 2 megapixel camera and 512MB Memory Stick.

Pluses : Very slim (this is the only handset which I have not got my hands on but my K550i makes up for it),Plays 320 x 240 videos, A2DP Bluetooth profile, WalkMan 2.0 player with album art support

Minuses : Costlier memory stick micro (M2), Keypad (you might hate it or love it)

So hopefully, I have given some idea / choices for music phones in the 7000-8500 range. Note; W810i and W610i retails almost at the same price.

PS: I just remembered that this phone and my k550i are like brothers, same hardware, same specs but has different version.K550i is a Cybershot(for people who loves taking pictures) and w610i is a Walkman Phone for people who loves music. Well maybe this is not the next phone for me..sigh.. but its still looks great..right?

My Gadgets On The Go!

Sony Ericsson K550i Cyber-Shot Phone

First of all, this phone rocks!!! Got this last week after I sold my old Nokia 7610 on Tipidcp.com(the Philippines' version of eBay). The design is good specially the back area, it looks so elegant for me..The features are good, it has a 2-megapixel camera with a autofocus and also has a built in flash, a Mp3 player, a video player, EDGE,Internet Browser and so on.. for a mid-range entry from Sony Ericson, it looks and performs real good! The only set-back for me is the position of the earphone slot, it is on the side of the phone, so sometimes its hard to put the phone in my pocket specially when im wearing slim-fit jeans but besides that, its all ok!

Nintendo DS Lite

My best buddy when im away or when im bored in class.. This portable game console has tons of great games that are fun to play.. Because of its touch screen feature, it manage to deliver a whole new style of gameplay that old gaming consoles doesnt have.. Compared to the PSP, the DS Lite is cheaper and much more portable..the only advantage of the PSP over the DSLite is that is has more features and has better graphics. But for me, a good gameplay is better than good graphics..

Want to Surf the Net using your Cell? Now you can!

Well, you can if your using a Globe Sim. Heres the info about it according to their website..

New Mobile Browsing P5 for 15mins

Need to send and receive emails on the go? Do research on the fly? Or catch the latest movie schedule on the way to that oh so important date? Whatever your internet needs, be it communication, information or entertainment, you can now get what you want, wherever you are with Globe’s mobile browsing service.

Surf’s Up!
With the first and only 3G/HSDPA network in the country and a wide GPRS and EDGE network, Globe allows you to stay connected wherever there’s a Globe signal at up to 1.4Mbps with peaks of up to 1.8 Mbps. All you need is a browsing-capable handset, a Globe Prepaid or Postpaid SIM and you can already connect using the signal and speed available to you.

Surf the Way You Want To
You can now choose how you are charged when you surf the net on your phone be it by KB (kilobyte) or by TIME (per minute).

* KB Browsing Rate
This kind of charging is best for info-based browsing like browsing for the latest news or movie schedules, searching online dictionaries and checking sports stats. Since you are charged only P0.15/kb, a search for the definition to a puzzling word would only cost P2.30 while checking that movie schedule would only cost about P1.62.

* Time Browsing Rate
This charging scheme is best used for multimedia-based activities like sending and receiving files through email or even viewing pictures and videos. All these are done more affordably when you use Time Charging at P5 for 15minutes.

Getting Your Feet Wet
Thankfully surfing the web on your phone is way easier than catching the perfect wave and hanging ten. Globe Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers are by default on the KB Charging scheme. If you want to try out Globe's new TIME charging scheme, all you need to do is to text TIME to 1111 for free!

To shift back to KB Browsing: text KB.
To check the charging scheme that currently applies to your account: text STATUS. Send the keyword to 1111 for free.

Surfing on your phone or on your laptop is just as easy!

1. Browsing on your cellphone
1. Open the wap browsing application on your cellphone.
2. As a default, you will be directed to the myGlobe wapsite.
3. From there you can browse for content or other available wapsites.
4. You can also type in the web address or url of the wapsite to go directly to that wapsite.
Note: Some phones are also equipped with website browsing applications meaning you can view not just wapsites but actual websites. Viewing experience will vary due to size of the phone screen.

2. Using your cellphone as a modem
1. Cellphone models nowadays come with applications that will allow the phone to function as a modem when plugged onto a laptop/pc using a connecting cable. Please check with the phone manufacturer for this feature, CD installer, cable and manual.
2. Using your handset as a modem means that you are connecting to Globe Telecom’s wireless network through your Globe SIM.

Just think of it, 5 pesos for 15 minutes of web surfing on the go? For me, thats so affordable! yehey, friendster anytime!

The World Ends With You

The New Day

The Best DS game Ive played so far.. The story, the looks, the gameplay.. FANTASTIC! Well let me give you a little summary of the story.. You play as Neku, a self centered loner guy and a EMO, he wakes up in middle of Shibuya remembering nothing why he is there.. along the way he learned about the "Reapers Game" and he should win this game within 7 days or face erasure.. erasure of his existence..

Verdict: I really love this game, even the titles catchy, im already playing it for the second time.. If you have a DS, this game is a must!!! Another great product of Square-Enix..

Funniest Real-Life News..Read It!

True or not, this is the funniest senior moment
story I have read.

"Get Out Of The Car!"

(This is supposedly a true account recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida.)

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.

She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"

The four men didn't wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition.

She tried and tried, and then she realized why. It was for the same reason that she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat.

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces further down.

She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing.

He pointed to the end of the counter, where four pale man were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

Moral of the story? If you're going to have a senior moment...make it memorable.
